i never ever forward emails. so i don't receive these types of 'forwarded' emails.
i do not understand its aim.
is it to make us laugh??? well i didn't laugh. not one bit. not one smirk. nope. nothing.
is it to entertain??? well i find it highly insulting and i would expect men to find this highly insulting (as the butt of the supposed joke is on them). as if lying and cheating were traits exclusive to men.
i didn't really answer your questions alex, because i don't think that is what you're really concerned about. just gave my impressions of the email.

When I said e-mail, I should have said chain e-mail. It's the kind of "witty" story that makes it's way from e-mail group lists to e-mail group lists.
I agree with you soulfilms, it is an insulting view of men. However, there are some men who fit the overall description that is described in the story! My point is if one tries to supercede this stereotype, then that man can be whispered about as being effiminate and gay. Or, not "normal", "not with it", "out there", unless one is a "skater boi".
Men who don't fit into a societal norm are whispered about. Shatzy pretty much did the same by casting some kind of "presumption" because I have old e-mails. What the presumption is, I don't know.
But some type was alluded to.

This was e-mailed to me today...
One day in the Garden of Eden... Eve calls out to God..."Lord, I have a problem."
What's the problem, Eve?"
"I know that you created me and provided this beautiful garden and all of these wonderful animals, as well as that hilarious comedic snake, but
I'm just not happy."
"And why is that Eve?"
"Lord, I am lonely, and I'm sick to death of apples."
"Well, Eve, in that case, I have a solution. I shall create a man for you."
"Man? What is that Lord?"
"A flawed creature, with many bad traits. He'll lie, cheat and be vain; all in all, he'll give you a hard time. But he'll be bigger, faster and will like to hunt and kill things. He will look silly when he is aroused, but since you've been complaining, I'll create him in such a way that he will satisfy your physical needs. He will be witless and will revel in childish things like fighting and kicking a ball about. He won't be too smart, so he will also need your advice to think properly."
"Sounds great," says Eve, with ironically raised eyebrows, "but what's the catch Lord?"
"Well.....you can have him on one condition."
" And what's that Lord?"
"As I said, he'll be proud, arrogant and self-admiring.....so you'll have to let him believe that I made him first. And it will have to be our little secret. You know, woman to woman."
-------------------------------------------
Just who is the "cheating man" cheating with? It couldn't be the superior of the species now could it?
And, the author forgot one important thing. Should a man arise from their own built in deficiencies, and strive to question their environment, to be more than their builit in DNA, they will be labeled "odd", or gay, or gasp, keepers of e-mail!!!

Gulp. I am not 100% certain, but I believe George Bush Jr. belongs to a very exclusive "hunter's club" that has a "pecking order" based on how many endangered species you have hunted and killed. (some of the members "kill" these dangerous animals only after they have been struck with sleeping darts)\
Mr. Bush also was Mr. Party Hearty in College, I read that he could remember virtually everyone's name at a frat party of as many as 30-70 people after only hearing their name once or twice.
He's handsome in a Johnny Carson kind of way.
These are the attributes that are revered by the female of the species. He hunts, He socializes well, and has nice features, what more could a women ask for?
Hey, Guys do the same thing when it comes to what attracts them to a women. But I don't think guys love a "pre-determined" girl the way a women loves a "pre-determined" guy.

And that is how our species is perpetuated. The "effiminate" guys are shunted by most women, who many times may judge a main's "suitability" by his clothes, (yes, including suits) and who he is with.
The guys who try and solve and resolve are viewed differently than the male hunter with the chisled features.
The book the "Moral Animal" talks about this. In the end, the genes that get perpetuated are the George Bushes of the World.
